New Events & Communications Coordinator to organize first annual Business Forum on Nov 29th
The team behind reThink Green and their business support program Green Economy North has grown.
“We are excited to welcome Leigha Benford to our team as our Communications & Events Coordinator.” Said Rebecca Danard, Executive Director of reThink Green.
“Leigha is a science communications specialist with experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors. As our programs continue to grow, she will be focused on connecting Green Economy North business members with expertise and resources through technical workshops and larger events including our Business Forum.”
Organizing Green Economy North's Business Forum will be Benford’s first major assignment. The program is bringing an industry leader to Sudbury to speak on the importance of engaging staff to be more sustainable. Frances Edmonds, Director of Environmental Programs at HP Canada is a world leader in corporate sustainability engagement.
“Like our Green Economy North program, the Business Forum is aimed at organizations of all sizes. No business owner or manager can make sustainability happen on their own, and this event will help put plans into action,” said Benford.
The Green Economy North Business Forum will take place Tuesday Nov 29th from 8:30-11:30 am. Tickets are on sale now. For more information, including registration information, click here.
